General Policy FAQs

You do not have to be a member of a YMCA to stay at YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly.

Tobacco use is not permitted on Assembly property.

Pets are not permitted on grounds.

We ask that you do not bring bikes, inline skates, and/or skateboards. Candles, decorative lighting, helium balloons, glitter, and/or confetti are not permitted in any of our buildings.

To make a reservation please contact group sales at groupsales@yblueridge.org or at 828-210-8457 to check availability and receive a quote.

YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly does run registration for some of our groups. Click here to see if your conference registration is handled by the Assembly. If you do not find your conference listed, please contact your group leader or sponsoring organization.

Meal FAQs

Breakfast: 8-8:45am
Lunch: 12:30-1:15pm
Dinner: 6-6:45pm

All meals are buffet and include: Two main entrées, two sides, bread, deluxe salad bar (lunch and supper), and dessert. Wristbands or colored dots for name badges will be distributed to leadership upon arrival and are required to enter the dining room.

Vegetarian entrée options are available. All other food restrictions must be requested by leadership in advance.

Due to shared dining rooms, groups will have the same reserved seating at every scheduled meal.

Due to shared dining rooms, all announcements and prayers should be done in your assigned meeting space.

No. YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly does not allow catering from outside vendors. However, the Assembly can provide catering to many locations upon request. We also offer a variety of snack options for an additional fee.

Lodging FAQs

Check-in occurs at the Guest Services Desk of Blue Ridge Center. Guests may check-in after 3:00 PM on the arrival date. Check out time is 10:00 AM on the day of departure.

Early arrivals or late departures must be approved by your Event Coordinator prior to your arrival. There will be an additional fee for groups checking in before noon or checking out after noon.

All rooms, cabins, and lodges are equipped with soap, towels, sheets, blankets, and pillows unless otherwise arranged by your group leader.

All buildings have house phones.  Blue Ridge Center rooms have a phone in each room.

Wireless internet access is available throughout the majority of the main campus. Depending on your cell phone carrier, reception is generally good throughout the property.

Cribs, kiddie cots, and/or rollaway beds are available at a $10 flat rate rental fee and can be accommodated in some rooms with advanced notice.

Meeting Space FAQs

Your group will be allotted one general meeting space. Three weeks prior to the group’s arrival you will be notified of the assigned room. Breakout spaces will be assigned according to availability.

Your meeting planner will need to request all audio-visual, table, and chair needs for your meeting space three weeks prior to your arrival. For no additional charge, we will provide you with: Registration tables, chairs, and tables in the meeting space, podium, and microphone(s). Easels, flipcharts, and music stands are also available at no additional cost. Portable Sound Systems and LCD projectors are available for an additional fee. Please only use painters tape in buildings and meeting spaces.

The gifts of hundreds of Blue Ridge friends quickly adds up and the lasting impact of your generous contributions has helped make YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly what it is today.

Your generosity helps support our programs that allow others to grow in spirit, mind, and body. A gift can build long-term financial stability for the Assembly and can affect countless lives in the years to come. Gifts to the Assembly are used to scholarship conference participants, support our operational budget, provide financial support for collegiate staff, or many other options. Your gift may be given in honor or memory of someone or you may designate a particular need you would like your gift to meet.

Our past, present, and future depend upon YOU. We rely on the generosity of many to help people of all ages and walks of life to be more healthy, confident, connected, and secure. Our goal is to serve as many people as possible that can benefit from our life-changing work. With your help, YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly can continue to impact youth and turn no one away due to an inability to pay.

There are many ways you can contribute and every gift, large or small, is appreciated. Gifts can be planned or outright. We have several on-going capital development campaigns that need your help!

Yes. YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly is a tax-exempt 501 © 3 organization, so your gift is fully tax-deductible as a charitable contribution. All donations receive an IRS compliant thank you note for tax reporting purposes.

Yes, you may designate your funds to a specific program or cause within YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly. If funds are not designated to a specific location or program they will be utilized in the areas identified with the greatest need. Examples of typical endowments include, but are not limited to:

  • Youth Development
  • Christian Service
  • Blue Ridge Facilities
  • Staff and Alumni

Deposits/Billing FAQs

For lodge or cabin bookings the deposit is equal to one night’s stay. For room bookings the deposit will be $50 per reserved room.

All new groups may apply to be direct billed for the balance after the event by filling out a credit application/reference form. If a group has no credit or references, full payment will be due upon arrival.

All groups are invoiced within 5 business days of their departure. Payment should be sent within 2 weeks of receiving the final invoice.

Deposits are fully refundable when notice of cancellation is given more than 90 days prior to arrival. When cancellations are made between 60 and 90 days prior to the arrival date, the entire deposit may be applied to another reservation scheduled within twelve months of the canceled date OR one-half of the deposit may be refunded. When cancellations are made less than 60 days prior to the arrival date, no credits or refunds will be made.
