Spiritual Life Cliff Christian is our Director, Spiritual Life. Cliff is a North Carolina native, having grown up in “Andy Griffith” country in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The farming community of Westfield is home to his extended family and he still owns the farm that has been in his family for almost 200 years. He graduated from Wake Forest University and later received a Masters of Divinity degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky. Cliff’s faith journey has been an “incredible adventure” as God has opened doors for opportunities to serve and the many blessings given through that. He has served as a pastor, pastoral counselor, chaplain and missions coordinator in his 25 years of ordained ministry. His heart is with social ministry and Micah 6:8 stands as a guiding principle: “What does the Lord require of you but to act justly, love kindness and walk with humility before your Lord?” In 2007 Cliff began The Timothy Project, a missions organization whose purpose was to engage young people in service that could be transformational. In the years since, participants in The Timothy Project have given over 100,000 volunteer hours in service to communities in the southeast. If you would like to have Cliff be included as a component of your conference or retreat, please contact your Event Coordinator.
