Package Details:

  • Commuter Packages are available for those with alternative lodging, and Lodging Packages are available for those who will stay on site.  Both packages include meals as listed.
  • All costs below are sold as a per person package and will not be reduced due to missed nights or meals.

  • You will receive a personalized email and invoice within the week following your registration.
  • Conference Registration NOT included with housing/meals registrations.  All attendees must also register for the conference on their website, www.aee.org/2022-international-conference.

Financial Details:

  • All rates listed are per person.
  • Registrations are made with a minimum deposit of $100/Adult for Lodging Packages or the full payment for Commuter Packages.
  • Children aged 3-11 years old are charged for meals only.  Children under 3 are complementary but must still be registered.  Children 12 and older at time of arrival are considered adults.
  • If you have a room with three or more adults (aged 12 or older) you may list the information in the “Additional Adult Registration” box on the last page.  Their packages will be added to your invoice.
  • All balances are due upon arrival. Balance may be paid by cash, check, or credit/debit card.  A convenience fee of 3% will be added to all credit/debit card payments made in house.
  • Deposits are refundable if the reservation is canceled prior to October 10, 2022. Starting October 10th deposits are nonrefundable, however, are transferable to a replacement participant. No refunds will be issued for reservations canceled during program dates. Packages cannot be divided or discounted for missed nights, meals, or programs.

Commuter Package Details:

  • This package does not include any overnight lodging.
  • Commuter reservations require the full payment with registration. Rates listed are per person. All packages are sold as a package and cannot be discounted for missed nights or meals.
  • Includes daily attendance Thursday, November 10th – Saturday, November 12th and six meals beginning with Lunch on Thursday, November 10th and ending with Dinner on Saturday, November 12th. Lunch and Dinner will be served in our Blue Ridge Center Dining Hall.  Breakfasts are NOT included in the Commuter Package.
    • Commuter Package Cost – $105/adult (12 and older)
    • Child Commuter Package – $45/child (3-11 years old)

Lodging Package Details:

  • Lodging packages include overnight lodging and meals and require a minimum deposit of $100. All rates listed are per person. All packages are sold as a package and cannot be discounted for missed nights or meals.
  • Lodging is assigned first come, first serve, preference given to those with serious mobility concerns. The Blue Ridge Center is the only building with access to an elevator, but ground level rooms can be made available in most buildings.
  • If you are attending a pre-conference, please find your reserved building below (either Weatherford Hall or Barnhardt Lodge depending on your conference).

  • Parking is available at each building but there may be a 5-15 minute walk up or down hill between your building and the Blue Ridge Center.

Lodging Descriptions:

  • All Cottages have already been reserved.
  • Hotel-Style: All Hotel-Style rooms include two beds, heat, and a private bathroom. Additional amenities are described below.
    • Blue Ridge Center rooms includes access to an elevator, two queen beds, and air conditioning.
    • Asheville Hall rooms includes single beds, double beds, or a mix of both with air conditioning.
    • Weatherford Hall is reserved for those attending the Therapeutic Adventure Professionals Group during the pre-conference, but it is not a requirement that they stay here. All rooms include one double and one single sized bed.  The top floor is a designated quiet floor.
  • Lodge-Style: All Lodge-Style rooms include heat and air conditioning. Both lodges include a shared industrial-style kitchen, dining room, living room, laundry room, fireplace, and covered porch.  Additional amenities are described below.
    • Barnhardt Lodge is reserved for those attending the Outdoor Orientation Programs Symposium during the pre-conference only (Tuesday, Nov 8 – Wednesday, Nov 9) but it is not a requirement that they stay here.  The second floor is family friendly.  Rooms have varying bed layouts (single, double, single bunk, single/double bunk).  Most rooms will share a bathroom with at least one other room.  A few rooms have private bathrooms.  Specific room requests are accepted on a first come, first serve basis.  Barnhardt Lodge is located within a ten-minute walk uphill, from the Blue Ridge Center.
    • McCarty Lodge is not available for arrivals before Wednesday, November 9th. Rooms are available on the upper level only.  All rooms have varying bed layouts (single, double, single bunk, single/double bunk).  All rooms share a bathroom with at least one other room.  Specific room requests are accepted on a first come, first serve basis.  McCarty Lodge is located within a fifteen-minute walk uphill, from the Blue Ridge Center.
  • Economy-Style: All Economy-Style rooms include heat with single sized beds and an attached private bathroom. Additional amenities are described below.
    • Historic Abbott Hall rooms include one single bunk bed and one single bed (3 beds total).
    • Historic Eureka Hall rooms include either one single bunk bed and one single bed (3 beds total) or two single bunks (4 beds total). Eureka Hall is located within a five-minute walk uphill.
    • Hibbard Hall is a family friendly Rooms include two single bunk beds (4 beds total).  Hibbard Hall is located within a ten-minute walk uphill.  Hibbard Hall includes a shared kitchenette.
  • Tent Camp Site: There are 15 total camp sites available for one 2-4 person tent per site. RVs or campers are not permitted.  Campsites are available for 4-nights maximum.
    • All meals will be provided in the Blue Ridge Center which is less than a 5 minute drive (on campus). Grills are not provided.  Please no cooking at your campsite.
    • Two campfire sites will be shared among all campers. Campsites will be setup for one fire each and additional fires can be built by Blue Ridge Staff, with advanced notice, for $60.
    • Parking will be nearby (along the dirt road) but not at the campsite. Restrooms (toilets, sinks, water fountain) are also nearby. Guests may use Eureka Hall’s dorm style bathrooms to shower.  Eureka Hall is a five-minute drive away (on campus).
    • November is high black bear season. All trash and food MUST be kept in locked cars.
    • Campsites do not include electricity or water. Pets are not permitted.  There are no laundry facilities on site, but Black Mountain Coin Laundry is within a five-minute drive off campus.
    • There is a small lake nearby. We do NOT allow swimming in the lake but catch and release fishing is allowed.

The following are not permitted on YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly property: pets, camping, firearms and all weapons, tobacco use, candles, incense, and decorative lighting. Names and age categories of all attendees are required, so Blue Ridge can provide statistical information to Y-USA. Name tags will be provided to attendees and should be worn while on grounds as a measure of safety and security.
